Go on then...

Everyone else has gone on about sod all else so i suppose i might as well. The Onion wins the award for funniest parody of the election, if only because it's so damn true. The funniest 'real' election story were the reports from the CNN election party of several editors desperately waving hands and shouting 'NO CHEERING!' as the election was called for Obama. Something to with them supposedly being 'impartial', no idea what that means.

also from the man himself:
"For that is the true genius of America – that America can change. Our union can be perfected. And what we have already achieved gives us hope for what we can and must achieve tomorrow."

blimey! sounds suspiciously nihilist to me...

of course! who doesn't? to paraphrase a certain american (i forget who exactly): "if you want a friend in this life, get a dog" the original was "in politics" but it works no matter which field you're in.
